Community Outreach

Our team has joined in the SORA Boat Parade, Parks & Recreation “Almost Anything Goes”, Keep Sarasota Beautiful and the Florida Coastal Clean-Up program, Special Olympics, Adaptive Skiing, Make a Wish Foundation, Mote Marine, Boy & Girl Scouts, 2000 Dreams and numerous other community activities. Below are a few of our most recent events.

Our second annual all girl show to benefit the Florida Suncoast Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure raised over $1500.00. We hope to make this an annual event and raise even more money for this worthy cause next year.

Some of our featured guest speakers included Dr. Robert Finkelstein of the Center for Skin Wellness. Dr. Finkelstien gave a very informative talk on protecting your skin against cancer and premature aging.

Pam Conner, Fitness Director and David Green, Personal Trainer from the Frank G. Berlin branch of the Sarasota YMCA spoke to our crowd about the benefits of regular exercise and a healthy diet.

Representatives of the Racing Dog Rescue Association, a non-profit group dedicated to finding homes for retired racing greyhounds, showed off their pups and educated our crowd on the joys of owning a greyhound. For more information, please visit their website at www.rdrp-greyhound.org

	*Community Outreach* Community involvement has always been a very important part of the Ski-A-Rees mission. Whether it's working with Scouts trying to earn a water ski merit badge, conducting a disabled water ski clinic or raising money for local charities, giving back is one of the things we're most proud of.
